As part of our research carried out in collaboration with the UMR IGEPP, it has been shown that NMR can be used as a biomarker of leaf development status. This original result was used to develop a phenotyping method. This method makes it possible to precisely follow the progressive destructuring of tissues linked to leaf senescence in response to variations in the resources available to the plant. With this in mind, we have developed a mobile device making it possible to carry out NMR measurements on plants directly in the field, without uprooting them and while ensuring laboratory conditions. For this, the choice was made on the integration of a commercial NMR spectrometer (Bruker, Minispec, 20MHz) in an all-terrain vehicle. In addition, this mobile laboratory makes it possible to embark a whole series of drinking equipment in order to have a global approach to phenotyping in the field at the plant scale.

This workshop will allow you to visit the mobile NMR laboratory that we will be moving for the occasion, as well as to discover the potential of the approach developed for the phenotypic characterization of plants.
