For its 16th edition, the Gen2Bio congress was held in Angers on March 12 and 13, 2026 at the Jean Monnier Congress Centre.
Organized every 2 years by Biogenouest, the scientific congress Gen2Bio is aimed at all stakeholders in life and environmental sciences: researchers, engineers and doctoral students in life and environmental sciences, innovative companies, laboratories or research centers, competitiveness clusters, technology parks and technical centers, development stakeholders, etc. In particular, you can discover the service offerings of the network's 38 technological core facilities and thus follow innovations in life sciences in the Greater West.
The 2026 program included 5 scientific conferences on the theme of "Innovations for Sustainable Agriculture" and 29 technology workshops led by the core facilities of Biogenouest network. A dedicated exhibition area with booths was also available for our partners.

March 12 and 13, 2026 at the Jean Monnier Convention Centre (Angers)
Only 5 minutes by tram and 15 minutes on foot from the TGV station, the Jean Monnier Congress Center is located in the city center ofAngers.
All conferences and workshops took place at the Convention Centre, facilitating interaction between participants through a single venue for the event:
- The plenary sessions of the congress will be held in the amphitheater located in the heart of the Jardin des Plantes, adjacent to the exhibition and catering area.
- The technology workshops are run by the core facilities in the many rooms of varying capacity in the Convention Centre.

Gen2Bio 2026 offered five plenary conferences focused on Agro, allowing the sharing of innovative perspectives and key advances in this field, and providing an in-depth overview of the current challenges and opportunities in the sector.
Workshops :
Spread over the two days, 29 workshops were offered by the core facilities of Biogenouest network. Each session, lasting 30 minutes, covered the 6 axes of Biogenouest: Genomics, Proteomics, Functional Exploration, Bio-imaging, Structural Analysis and Metabolomics and Bioinformatics.
Led by engineers and researchers from the network core facilities, these workshops are an exceptional opportunity to deepen your knowledge, exchange and stay at the forefront of the latest technological advances.
In addition to the workshops run by the Biogenouest core facilities, 2 workshops were devoted to projects supported by the Vegepolys Valley and Valorial competitiveness clusters, partners of Gen2Bio2026, and another dedicated to the GO-EV federative project.
